International webinar on Islamic finance

The international webinar on “sustainable development and Islamic finance” was organized by Department of economics with Islamic finance, Anvarul Islam women’s Arabic college, Mongam on 18/07/2022 through Google meet. Our guest speaker was Mr. Mohammed Hashimi, Research Fellow, University of Dundee, Scotland, UK. The program started with the welcome speech of Mr. Anfas, Assistant Professor of Islamic finance. Honourable principal Dr, Jubailiya. P inaugurated the webinar. Mr. Muhammed Jamsheer. P, Webinar co-ordinator and Head presided over the program. The session started with the definition of sustainable development, highlighting the fundamental different with other conventional approaches to development. The speaker, with several examples, explained the implication and reality of an Islamic Finance and sustainable development. The program was concluded with vote of thanks offered by Mr. Muhammed Hadi, Assistant Professor, Department of economics with Islamic finance.

Workshop on Data Analysis

The department of economics conducted one day workshop on "Data Analysis Using Open Source Tools"on 2nd July 2022. The program was inagurated by Dr juabiliya. p , Principal AIWA College. The technical session was handled by Mr. Raseem Abdul khader, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Ansar Arabic college, Valavannur.
